The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Universitas Syiah Kuala (FVM-USK), Banda Aceh. Indonesia is one of the oldest faculties within this university. FVM-USK was established on October 17, 1960, and already plays an important role in improving the competence of human resources who are professional and have strong analytical skills in the fields of animal health, zoonoses, and food safety of animal origin. The strategy to achieve these targets is outlined in the vision of FVM-USK: “become innovative, independent, and leading in implementing the three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) with reliable human resources in developing and application veterinary technology at the international level by 2030”. FVM-USK is provided education for both Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine Study Program (BVM-SP) and Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine Study Program (PPVM-SP). The two study programs have been accredited with “Excellent” category by the National Accreditation Institution for Higher Education in Medical Sciences (LAMPTKes). In these two study programs, we have a number of 900 students coming from many parts of Indonesia, with different backgrounds and culture.
