8 Game Design and Animation Advanced Diploma Programs

Whether you love the classics or today's technologically advanced games, in this interactive gaming program's courses you'll participate in various phases of game development. This advanced diploma technology program will also focus on topics such as object-oriented software design methodologies and user-oriented interface design, software testing and QA, C#, Java, advanced graphics, web game programming, HTML5/JavaScript, Unity3D, and mobile application development. To underscore the curriculum's applied focus, two software development projects will be included. These "real world" games/simulations/applications will require you to utilize all the technical and business skills acquired during your studies to build high-quality software.

Game – Development is a three-year advanced diploma program that aims to develop expert game designers who can create and develop their own titles. The program will prepare you to become technically literate with the ability to advance the conceptual and cultural potential of games.

The Advanced Diploma in Animation and Game Development program allows students to connect with their passion for playing video games and watching computer-generated media and animation by challenging students with cutting-edge development for a variety of mediums.

The Diploma in Animation programme is a two-year course focuses on developing the skills needed to produce industry standard video production, 2D and 3D animations. It’s an extensive course that is driven by strong ideation processes and one year full of technical animation projects. The syllabus was designed to equip students with knowledge to complete projects, planning good pre-production and showcase their skills in Film & Animation Competition/Festivals.

Animation 3D advanced diploma program, you will develop a well-rounded knowledge base and skill set that includes strong art, animation, modeling, and visualization abilities. You will be prepared for the ever-expanding 3D art field with a thorough understanding of the latest 3D digital art technologies in a program developed with the input of industry advisors. Learn to work like the pros do using the same 3D animation software and tools to render creative thoughts into compelling images and fully realized designs.

Animation is a storytelling genre created entirely through the artist's imagination and skill. Learn about current industry styles which embrace both 2D and 3D production methods, and gain artistic skill and fluency in all aspects of this fantastic medium Mohawk’s Animation program provides students with a solid foundation in the principles of performance animation, visual communication, concept generation, composition, 2d and 3D image construction, and filmic storytelling.

This BA Games Art course aims not only to develop skills relevant to distinct areas of employment but also to foster collaborative and innovative skills typical of digital entrepreneurs.

Develop your skills in musicianship, performance, song writing and composing, producing and more, through Mohawk College’s performance based 3 year Applied Music Program. Develop skills that will prepare you for the music industry or help further your education. Students have the choice to focus their studies in either Classical or Contemporary stream, in their choice of instruments/vocal. Students who apply to the Applied Music Program will have to complete an audition, theory and ear training test, and an interview.
