4 Arts Advanced Diploma Programs

The Visual Arts program cultivates creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. The program’s studio work includes drawing, sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography, and digital media. As a student in the program, you are exposed to culture through contemporary and historical art. Your studies are enhanced with courses in English, French, Physical Education, and Philosophy to ensure that you are well-rounded for future endeavors. Courses come alive through experiences such as field trips to museums, galleries, and guest lecturers from the artistic community. In this program, you will be ready for university with the ability to manage time, organize projects, and wield a wide range of artistic skills.

Overview Level 4 course (Available to UK/EU students) This is a dynamic, intensive and creative course that covers a wide range of specialist areas and helps you prepare a portfolio to assist with entry to a higher education course in an art and design subject. The qualification has been designed to encourage exploration, experimentation and risk taking, which will extend the learners’ critical independence and enable them to demonstrate a full understanding of the relevant standards required to achieve progression to higher education.

This qualification reflects the role of an individual working as a senior civil works designer or a para-professional designer, who supports professional engineers. They perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating activities. They are responsible for the design of complex projects to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements.

The Siena Art Institute’s Post-Baccalaureate Program is designed for students who have earned their BFA or BA and desire to spend a period of study honing their skills, exploring their artistic interests, and developing their artistic portfolios in preparation for pursuing an MFA. The program welcomes artists from all disciplines (painting, photography, drawing, video, ceramics, silversmithing, creative writing, and more) who are interested in the intersection of art and civic life, and who wish to explore how our artistic projects can lead to a deeper understanding of the cultures in which we find ourselves.
