The doctoral-level competencies enable program graduates to fully utilize the scope of practice of a California licensed acupuncturist, including ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostic imaging, giving effective nutrition advice and exercise counselling, collaborating with other practitioners inpatient care, and incorporating scholarship, research, evidence-based and functional medicine into clinical practice.

This course offers an introduction to the meridian system of acupuncture in Oriental medicine.

Acupuncture school applicants must have completed 60-semester credits at the baccalaureate level from an accredited institution.

Our DACM program includes advanced competencies in collaborative care, systems-based medicine, and evidence-informed practice – essential skills and knowledge for acupuncturists in today’s team-based medical model. The program offers advanced studies in speciality areas commonly seen in clinical practice – Orthopedics, Neurology, Endocrinology, Obstetrics, and Cardiology.

Doctor of TCM diploma program is a four years full-time program. Students will learn acupuncture concepts, herbs, TCM foundation … etc. Clinic practice will also be involved in this program as an important part.

Our in-depth three year course will teach you everything you need to know to become a confident and successful practitioner. The total numbers of hours studied are 3,600, making this degree-level training. You may find that for personal reasons you need to take a study break; this is completely acceptable as long as you complete all of your modules within five years. Unlike training at a university, all of your lectures will be delivered by successful practitioners who are eager to pass their knowledge and experience on to you.

The diploma includes a variety of courses in theory, as well as diagnosis, treatment and clinical practice.

The length of the Professional Doctorate program in Oriental Medicine PD in Acupuncture program is four (4) academic years in length. The program consists of three (3) years of foundational studies in the MSOM program and additional studies of advanced courses. The PD in Oriental Medicine is composed of 2122 didactic/lab hours and 1110 clinical training hours.

This two-year degree level course with an optional 3rd-year clinical attachment and Tuina Training is a practical professional training course to enable students to achieve high standards of competence, safety and confidence as practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The Doctoral Program is an evolution of the Master's Degree curriculum, emphasizing advanced clinical competencies and Chinese Herbal Medicine. The DAC program will critically assess the methodology and conclusions of quantitative and qualitative research. Doctoral students will participate in a multidisciplinary healthcare system and collaborate in a team-based approach across all healthcare disciplines.
