13 Acoustical Engineering Degree Programs

The MSc in Acoustical Engineering will give you expert knowledge of the latest modern developments in sound, vibration and signal processing. You’ll graduate with the skills you need for a career in acoustical engineering or for continued study at the PhD level.

Music and Acoustic Engineering is a two-year Master Program that falls within the area of Information Engineering (the "reference disciplinary area", as identified by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, is LM-32, corresponding to Computer Science and Engineering). The postgraduate program in "Music and Acoustic Engineering" forms experts and designers who are able to face consolidated as well as emerging technological challenges in the audio, music and acoustics areas.

Led by research-active practitioners, our BEng (Hons) Acoustical and Audio Engineering will equip you with the skills to create a better-sounding world. For 60 years, the University of Salford has been a pioneer of acoustics teaching and is recognised by the UK Institute of Acoustics. You’ll study on our green Peel Park campus and use world-class acoustics facilities including an anechoic chamber, transmission suites, reverberation chambers, listening rooms and audiometric test facilities. There’s also an option to complete a year-long paid placement.

La ingeniería acústica es un área multidisciplinar con una gran demanda de formación específica en diferentes ámbitos: acústica arquitectónica (para aislamiento y acondicionamiento acústico), acústica ambiental (mapas de ruido, planes parciales, ruido industrial en exteriores, ruido de ciclomotores y otros vehículos, licencia de actividades), electroacústica (diseño de cajas de altavoces, megafonía, sonorización y refuerzo sonoro), caracterización de materiales (ultrasonidos, sistemas de onda estacionaria, etc.), instalaciones (aire acondicionado, maquinaria, etc.), seguridad e higiene en el trabajo respecto a protección frente al ruido de los trabajadores, acústica submarina (localización de objetos, comunicación, sónar, etc.).
