Our MSc Accounting and Performance Analytics is a full-time conversion programme running for 12 months from the date of first registration for the programme. Students take taught modules from September to May, followed by completing a group-based research project and culminating with a graduate placement from June onwards.

This degree provides a foundation for entering the accounting profession and other areas of business. To become a professional accountant, students successfully complete three levels of professional exams as well as on-the-job training. Graduates of the BBS Business and Accounting degree are exempt from the first level of these professional examinations (CAP 1 examinations from Chartered Accountants Ireland and equivalent examination papers from the ACCA and the CIMA professional accounting bodies).

This degree is jointly accredited by both the legal and accounting professions. Students can avail of exemptions (upon graduation) from CAP 1 examinations from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and equivalent examination papers from the ACCA and the CIMA professional accounting bodies. This law degree is accredited by the Honorable Society of King's Inns.

This 2-year intensive conversion course effectively incorporates the Higher Diploma in Professional Accounting in year 1 and the 1 year MA Accounting in year 2. First year students are required to achieve an average of at least 60% in their first year modules to remain on the course.

The International Year One is a one-year (3-term) programme that offers successful students a pathway to Year 2 of undergraduate degree study. Students will typically study 3 — 4 subjects, depending on the pathway chosen or the intended progression degree, as well as English Language. As successful students can progress onto Year 2 of a related degree, the IELTS entry levels are higher than for the UFP. You can choose from subjects such as Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Fashion Management, International Business, Law, and Marketing.

This course is a challenging, but rewarding one-year taught programme, running from September to August, with a new and updated syllabus. The programme receives generous exemptions from the Professional Accountancy Bodies. Graduates of the programme receive full CAP 2 exemptions from Chartered Accountants Ireland, 11 exemptions from CPA Ireland, and 8 exemptions from ACCA. In addition, while maintaining the focus on preparing graduates for the accounting profession, the updated programme now incorporates a 30-credit Accounting Research Project. This module encapsulates learnings from the taught component and offers students the opportunity to engage with research literature to ensure the development of both practical and theoretical skills in the discipline.

The Online Diploma in Fundamentals of Accounting and Finance is run wholly online and provides students with introductory knowledge to four key finance and accounting areas. These are Finance management, Financial accounting (including Sage), Management accounting and Business management and administration. It is taught in recorded weekly scheduled classes, using a cloud based app that works on any device.
