Accounting has continuously been one of the most fundamental aspects of any business, acting as the process of analyzing, verifying, documenting, and reporting financial information to an individual, organization, or government agency. Many are under the impression that there is only one job when they think of an accounting degree - and that's completely false. The field of accounting offers a large number of specialized programs for each possible career path that is available when studying accounting.

Prerequisites for a degree in accounting
The prerequisites for each degree program and/or certification course are entirely dependent on the level of study. A certification course in bookkeeping for example could possible have no prerequisites other than an interest in the study of business math and financial organization. Prerequisites for degree programs also range depending on what degree you are in pursuit of. Many associate andbaccalaureate degree programs vary in their prerequisites, while master's degrees will usually require a bachelor’s degree prior to higher studies.

What will I learn studying accounting abroad?
All courses in an accounting degree will vary depending on program and institute of learning, but can be broken down by program level. Certificate courses are designed to allow graduates of the program to enter an entry-level position in an organization or business, while a degree program (associate’s or bachelor’s) is most commonly designed for careers in entry level or mid level employment as an accountant.
