The course will develop further the disciplines of pure maths, statistics and mechanics. You will be introduced to a variety of mathematical skills including, quadratic equations, plotting circles using formulae, graph transformations, logarithms, trigonometrical equations and calculus.

A-levels are internationally recognised qualifications. Universities in many countries will accept three A level A-C grades as meeting the admissions criteria across a wide range of courses.

This distance learning A level Maths course builds on work covered in GCSE Maths at Higher Level, so you need to be familiar with all the mathematics at this level, and your skills should be at least up to GCSE Grade B standard.

This course will prepare you for sitting your A Level in Mathematics. You will be able to gain up to 56 UCAS points to aid in your University application process.

The Double Mathematics course consists of completing the A Level Mathematics course in one year, leading on to complete the Further Mathematics A Level in the second year.

This A-level Pure Mathematics course is designed for students working at home. The topics are presented in small "chunks" with worked examples followed by activities for the student. Revision tests are provided after every three or four sections, and there is a Test Paper at the end of each module, which is a mock exam, so you should revise the content of the module before you do the Test Paper.

In Algebra we study complex numbers (which involve i, the square root of -1), hyperbolic functions (which have many similarities to trigonometrical functions yet are fundamentally different) and matrices.

You will need to spend the full allocation of time given to a complete A Level in order to study Further Maths. This course is usually taken as one of four subjects to ensure that you are still studying broadly.

The Core Maths qualification is for students who have passed GCSE Mathematics at Grade 5 or above but have decided not to study A Level Mathematics. It builds upon and strengthens existing skills and focuses on using and applying Mathematics to solve problems relevant to our everyday lives. Students in Social Sciences, Business, Psychology, Sciences and Health Sciences who are not taking A Level Mathematics may find the Core Maths element useful in preparing for university study where a working application of Maths or Statistics may be required.
