Tuition fees at private universities

You can expect that private universities charge higher tuition fees. Nevertheless, it is best advised to check the official university page to discover how much you need to pay. In addition to paying tuition fees, students at Hungarian universities are also required to pay an application fee, exam fee, and registration fee, each between €100 and €150.

Keep in mind that both public and private universities are free to decide if they charge the same tuition to EU and non-EU citizens.

  • CEEPUS is Central European Exchange Program for University Studies, which this program aims to promote student and teacher mobility in Central and South-East Europe. This is an opportunity to strengthen professional and personal relationships among Central Europe Scholars, according to Study in Hungary. CEEPUS has different types such as student mobility (Bachelor, Master, and PhD students), short-term student mobility (Bachelor, Master students who are currently working on their thesis and PhD students), and teacher mobility.
