Tuition fees aren’t set nor regulated by the government, but schools, even the most prestigious ones, generally charge about the same amount. You can expect to pay between US$5,800 and US$6,500 per semester. Programs that require more equipment and contact time, like medicine, generally sit towards the higher end of this spectrum.

Tuition fees for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are generally about the same, although postgraduate degrees do normally cost a little more than undergraduate ones. PhD candidates do also need to pay tuition fees, although these are generally lower than at other levels of study. Fees range from US$2,320 to US$3,650 per semester.

As its schools are becoming ever more popular, South Korea has a large number of scholarships available to international students. The most generous ones are provided by the South Korean government. The most prestigious of these is the Global Korea Scholarship. This scholarship covers your flights, rent, tuition fees, up to 70% of your basic living expenses and an intensive Korean language program. The aim is to make you fluent in Korean by the end of your degree. The Global Korea Scholarship even encourages you to undertake academic and scientific research during your degree program.
