Introduction
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineers are recognized both academically and professionally worldwide. They design, develop, manufacture and maintain mechanical devices, parts and systems, engines and industrial facilities. Their work includes activities with a great economic impact in any developed country, such as industrial manufacturing and production systems, transportation, machinery and building. They also set up thermal and mechanical devices and design quality, safety and environmental control systems in buildings and industrial facilities.
The main goal of this degree is to provide the needed education and training so the students are qualified for the regulated profession of Technical Industrial Engineer, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, according to the corresponding Orden Ministerial CIN/351/2009.Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is organized around a training core, taking place in the first two courses. This training is common to the other Engineering Degrees in the industrial branch, and includes essential knowledge of science and engineering such as Physics, Mathematics, Graphic Expression, Statistics and Chemistry. Additionally, multidisciplinary foundations of engineering are incorporated, allowing for a global vision of all the aspects involved in the sectors of competence. This is achieved by including modules of other branches of engineering in this degree (advanced materials, electronics, electricity, automatics and industrial organization).
