Hi!
I've always wanted to study in the US, but I have no idea about where to go for the best education or greatest experience!
So now I would like everyone who has studied in United States to tell me what your favourite state or city is and why!
Don't be afraid to give me your own opinions!
Take care,
Maria

I totally LOVE Chicago! They have some great schools, but it's also such an awesome city. I fell in love having only been there two days. yes, it's cold in winter, and windy and all that, but it's also got such a nice atmosphere. I love the old town houses with their little fenced in gardens, right smack bang in the city. So much green and yet so much to do. All the bars and cafés. I just love it. And you get a great education too, even if it's not free :( And a huge plus is Lake Michigan that feels pretty much like the ocean even if your not on the coast. Great beaches in the summer! That's my recommendation! :)

I would absolutely go for Maine and Boston. Even if you don't have the grades for Harvard, there are some pretty great schools around there. I love the seasons and the nature being right there. The number of students makes it a really social place to be too. You shoudl really look into it.

About the U.S. system, it depends on what kind of schools you are interested. Most liberal arts colleges such as Williams College in Williamstown, MA, Vassa College, Hamilton College In Clinton, NY (so called mini-ivy-league) are all located in the east coast, new England offers a rich traditional in the liberal arts educations.
If you are more concerned about the price and also more for the pure American experience, I suggest you to consider the state universities in the mid-west, such as the University of Nebraska or the University of Kansas. These state establishments can really bring you a good experience in contacting with the American culture:)
