Asking about scholarships

Asking about scholarships
To whom it may concerns,

I'm Putthathida Na Bangchang, 22 year-old.
I graduated from faculty of Humanities, English Literature and Political Science, Chiang Mai University, Thailand.
I've been to Stockholm promoting traditional Thai culture & dance, and found that Sweden is a real safe, efficient and pleasant place to continue my education.

I'm really interested in studying a Master at university of Boras.
I want to know more about provided scholarships in Boras, is there any scholarship granted for Asian students?

Or, do you have any relevant, and up-to-date website giving information about the scholarships?

Best Regard,

Putthathida

Cost of living

The costs of living in Sweden for a student are approximated by the migrations board to be SEK 7,300/month. When applying for your residence permit you need to show that you have the below amount of money for each month you plan on studying in Sweden. If you do not show you can support yourself financially for your entire stay, the migrations board will not grant you a residence permit. For more details about this process refer to Visa & Residence permit.
Monthly expenses

Food: SEK 2,700
Student accommodation: SEK 2,300
Clothing, hobby/leisure: SEK 1000
Local travel: SEK 500
Medical care and hygiene: SEK 450
Telephone: SEK 300
Student union fee: SEK 60-70

Total monthly costs: SEK 7,300 or about EUR 800.

It should also be noted that Borås is less expensive than most other cities in Sweden.

Scholarships

The University of Borås do not offer any scholarships or financing for incoming international students.

Students interested in scholarships will need to research available opportunities on their own. One starting point is the Swedish Institute who offer around 400 scholarships a year for visiting students and researchers coming to Sweden. For more information students can refer to the Study in Sweden website, which informs about the Swedish Institute’s scholarships and other options. View Student in Sweden for more details.
