UniSA was established in 1991 but through antecedent institutions, the University has a 150-year history of providing tertiary education in South Australia. UniSA is the largest university in South Australia with more than 34,600 students, including approximately 5,000 international students on its multi-campus.

University of South Australia offers the most diverse educational menu in South Australia comprising of more than more than 140 undergraduate degrees and 200 coursework and research postgraduate programs. UniSA qualifications are internationally recognised and respected and will provide you with the experience and knowledge you need to embark on a successful and rewarding career. For a full listing of undergraduate, postgraduate or research programs available visit: http://www.unisa.edu.au/international/study/default.asp

UniSA is South Australia’s largest university with four campuses located in the metropolitan area of Adelaide plus the Centre for Regional Engagement based in Regional South Australia.

University of South Australia understands that education is about much more than just taking notes during a lecture. To be truly informed about your field of study, you need to know how to apply the theories you have learned in industry and the workplace. Most students have the chance to get out of the lecture theatre and into the real world to gain practical experience during their studies. For example, depending on the program you choose, you could find yourself conducting experiments in a hospital or laboratory during a clinical placement; studying fossils, native wildlife, textile history or Aboriginal culture on an outback field trip; working with leaders from industry and the professions on the development and implementation of strategic business plans; or assisting teachers during a practicum placement in a childcare, pre-school or school classroom environment.

At UniSA you can also choose to complete part of your studies with one of our many international partner universtities. From Chile to Austria to India to Japan, University of South Australia has student exchange agreements with accredited universities in more than 30 countries. An international study exchange will contribute to your personal and academic development, and will also be well-regarded by your future employers.

Description and information about accommodation Adelaide

Adelaide

University of South Australia place
Of the thousands of international students seeking an exciting study and life experience in Australia each year, many discover that the city of Adelaide is the perfect place to find it. With its affordable lifestyle, relaxed and safe atmosphere, Mediterranean climate, accessible and convenient location, and reputation for offering high quality education, it is no surprise that Adelaide is such a consistently popular study destination.

With its rich cultural background, Adelaide is home to a vast array of restaurants and the largest fresh produce market in the southern hemisphere – in fact, South Australia is often regarded as the food and wine centre of Australia. Adelaide is particularly well known as the nation’s festival capital, hosting the biennial Festival of Arts, Fringe Festival and WOMADelaide, in addition to an annual calendar full of multicultural, music, comedy and food festivals and events. From the inspiring atmosphere at events such as Writers’ Week and the Festival of Ideas, to the gastronomic appeal of our various food and wine festivals, you’re sure to find plenty of opportunities to get involved in Adelaide’s festival scene.

Sporting enthusiasts won’t miss out either. Australia is generally well known as a sports-loving nation and Adelaide is no exception. Each year, Adelaide hosts a variety of premier national and international sporting events including Adealide Clipsal V8 motor racing , tennis and golf championships, one-day and Test series cricket at the panoramic Adelaide Oval, and Australian Rules football, to name just a few. It is also the venue for the annual Tour Down Under cycling event which features some of the world’s top professional cycling teams, including a team supported by UniSA.

If you choose to study and live in Adelaide, you will soon discover that it is the perfect base for exploring some of Australia’s diverse attractions. Drive just one hour from the city and you’ll find world-famous wine regions, picturesque coastline, quaint villages, and the majestic Murray River.

Even further afield in the state’s north are the breathtaking Flinders Ranges and outback, covering more than 80 per cent of the state and offering spectacular ancient ranges, open desert spaces, lakes, wildflowers and wildlife, historic towns, and a fascinating Aboriginal and European history.
