Just half an hour from the cities of Liverpool and Manchester, with their internationally renowned cultural, sporting and retail centres, Bolton, home of the
University of Bolton, also puts entertainment and shopping right on your doorstep.
There are plenty of pubs, bars/cafes and restaurants catering for a wide range of tastes. Free live music events and regular student nights are on offer at many venues.
A 12 screen multiplex cinema, ten-pin bowling, shops, bars, restaurants, hotels and 24 hour supermarkets can be found at the Middlebrook Leisure Park. The Valley Centretainment leisure complex offers a similar range of facilities.
The university actively supports the exciting professional Octagon Theatre, which features plenty of new drama, great classics and comedies all at reasonable prices with a coffee house and bar. A wide range of art exhibitions is held at the Central Museum and Art Gallery. This is supplemented with guest lectures and seminars. There is also an excellent library and aquarium.

The accommodation team of the
