Psychology at Birkbeck can trace its roots to the beginnings of the scientific study of the subject in this country a century ago. The Department of Psychology at King's College was founded in 1906 and moved to Birkbeck College during the Second World War, when Birkbeck was the only University of London College to keep teaching students in London.
