Medical degree 6-year

Candidates wishing to study the 6-year MD Program in English must meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or matriculation equivalent of a sufficiently high standard, that enables them to enter the university medical school in their own country,
• Possess high level of adequate knowledge of the studied subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics,
• Good command of both written and spoken English confirmed by ( CAE, CPE, TOEFL, IELTS ) certificate or any other document approving proficiency in English.

The Medical University of Lodz is the largest state medical university in Poland and was founded in 2002 with the merger of two medical schools: the Medical Academy of Lodz and the Military Medical Academy of Lodz - both institutions originating in the 1950's.

The Medical University of Lodz maintains the strong traditions of both institutions and continues to provide high quality medical training to physicians, dentists, pharmacists and other medical specialists.

The courses offered at the Medical University combine the expertise and finest traditions in education with pioneering research and modern scientific and medical techniques; to prepare specialists for work in various communities and national health care systems.

The University employs almost 1300 research and didactic staff, including over 300 independent researchers and teaches around 8000 students, over 300 of which are international students.

The quality of teaching at The Medical University of Lodz remains one of the highest among Polish universities, many areas being rated in inspections and rankings as excellent. The Medical University of Lodz was classified second of all medical universities in Poland and thirteenth of all state universities in Poland.

At present, The Medical University has over 1600 hospital beds in seven Teaching Hospitals that provide medical services for patients, being the essential base for research work and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Moreover, 34 hospital wards and departments with almost 1200 beds localized in non-University municipal hospitals are used by the Medical University. This provides students with great work based experiences for students and services to the community.
