Vienna is the capital of Austria and is an international and vibrant city with a population of almost 2 million people. Selected the world’s best place to live in Mercer’s annual Quality Living Survey for two consecutive years in 2009 and 2010, the city provides for very comfortable living.

Vienna is situated in the heart of Europe, in the east of Austria, bordering to Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary. The central location means easy access to a wide range of major cities in Europe as well as many historical sites.

There is plenty to do in the clean city, such as museums, theatres, cultural festivals and of course enjoying the renowned Viennese coffee in one of the many coffee houses. Vienna is also referred to as Europe’s musical capital and boasts two major operas and the famous Vienna Philharmonics.

Due to Vienna’s splendid infrastructure and public transportation it is easy to get around and get to know the “green” city that to 50% consists of parks, extensive bike trails and excellent water activity opportunities on the Alte Donau.
Vienna is also the home to a wide range of multinational headquarters and international organizations, including the United Nations, OSCE and OPEC.

Webster University Vienna’s campus is situated on the Danube River, only 20 minutes from the city center and the campus boasts a library with online access to Webster’s main library, four computer labs with PC and MAC workstations, conference facilities, student lounges, a bookstore and an American restaurant.

Accommodation at Webster University Vienna

Webster University Vienna offers student housing to its students, there are two different housing options, and one is the Studentenheim named “Donaufeld” which is situated 35 minutes away from the campus. Donaufeld has rooms that consist of two single beds, refrigerator, bathroom & shower and telephone.

The other housing option offered by Webster University Vienna is the “Schuettaustrasse” which is located within walking distance from the university’s campus. Schuettaustrasse offers single bedrooms, two bedroom apartments and double bedroom apartments.

Students also have the option to find their own housing in Vienna and Webster University Vienna can assist by giving you a list of recommended housing in the beautiful city.
