The Department of
Law, Governance and International Relations combines a professionally recognized education with innovative and socially oriented courses. The program has developed strong bonds with the professional sector, central and local regimes and mass media organizations, which are helpful in providing students with internship and career opportunities. The Law Graduate Employability Network (LAGREN) at the university is a specially established network of firms and bureaus.
The new department building contains a mock court room, excellent teaching facilities and meeting areas. Both university campuses offer well filled archives, media and IT-services and computer rooms. The students all have passwords to several leading electronic databases, including Westlaw UK.
The research within power- and international relations conducted by The Department of
Law, Governance and International Relations has been judged as one of the best in the nation. Within the department, it is the Institute of Human Rights and Social Justice and the City Center for International Commercial Law, which carries out research and consulting services.
