The Kurukshetra University library and its extension as Departmental Libraries is manned by nine well qualified professionals, one programmer, twenty-four Semi-Professionals and forty-two supporting staff. The library has 299,463 documents including 7,000 manuscripts. It subscribes to 400 journals on print media (foreign & Indian) and on line Journals/databases and under UGC-INFONET programs.
The Directorate of Distance Education enrolls about 36000 students in under-graduate and post-graduate courses every year. Courses include job-oriented professional courses in the areas of Computer, IT, Commerce, Management, Finance, Marketing, Law, Tourism and Hotel Management, Journalism & Mass Communication, Library and Information Science, M.A.(Education) and B.Ed. (2 Year Course).
Foreign Students can apply for admission in the Kurukshetra University through the Indian Missions abroad. They are required to contact the Assistant Registrar (Registration) with regard to the student’s visa for their admission so that they can avoid complication at a later stage from the quarters concerned. The eligibility certificate will be issued by the Assistant Registrar (Regn & Sch.) after checking all original certificates of the last or lower examinations passed from a foreign University. In case of need they can consult the International Students’ Advisor of the University.
The Sports Department organizes Inter-Collegiate Championships for men and women in different sports disciplines every year. The Sports Department also conducts coaching camps for the Kurukshetra University teams for participation in the Inter-University tournaments. The University gives benefits of additional places for admission to various courses and also award Sports Stipend to outstanding sports persons.
