Founded in 1996, Istanbul Bilgi Universitesi is a private, non-profit institution. Bilgi offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the social sciences, economics, business, communications, the arts and law. The University has over 10,000 students and a faculty of 600. The language of instruction, except in the Faculty of Law, is English.

Being a city university, Istanbul Bilgi Universitesi has 3 innovative campuses located in central city neighborhoods. The campuses offers easy access to the social and cultural activities in Istanbul.

It has a democratic, secular government; is a candidate country for European Union membership; and has the 17th largest economy in the world. With its rich history and traditions, fast-growing economy and dynamic society, Turkey is a great place for an international student to study.

Istanbul, home to Istanbul Bilgi Universitesi, with a population over 12 million is the commerce, culture and education center of Turkey. Because of its historical heritage and various cultural activities, Istanbul has been selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2010.

The residence hall offers a variety of room choices and are equipped with kitchenettes, laundry facilities, computer and study rooms.
