The programme takes three years (180 ECTS). Each year is divided into two semesters with a course load of 30 ECTS each. The compulsory language minor takes up 30 ECTS of the programme. The programme includes the following components:

Advanced students are encouraged to participate in an international exchange programme, an important international component.
In the third year of the Bachelor's programme you will chose a core course. This is rounded off with a Bachelor's thesis. In general, you can select one or two specialization tracks:
- International Order and Global Governance
- Central themes are Human Rights and human security, democratization and development, ethics and power.
- International Political Economy
- This track focuses on the interaction between states, markets and societies and how their mutual relations affect the behaviour of other actors.
- European Cooperation and Integration
- The emphasis is on the complex policy-making structure within which institutions at the European, national and subnational levels to an increasing extent interact as a result of transnational and transgovernmental cooperation.
- International Security and International Relations Theory
- In this track, the centrality of the phenomenon of violence is studied in metaphysical, theoretical and historical senses.
