After entering the program of International Marketing Management (IMM) you are an expert in the field of international business. Could a successful local product be sold abroad? What foreign markets are interesting for your product and what markets should the organization focus on? Who is your audience and how do you reach your target group? What cultural differences should be taken into consideration? What about your competitors? Imagine trying to make sure Japanese rice cakes become a hit in the Netherlands. How would you convince the Dutch, who are quite attached to their yoghurts, that the versatile "mochi" rice cake is a wonderful desert? How would you go about selling Kingfisher, an Indian lager, to Germans, who have their own, very proud history of brewing beer?
International Marketing Management (IMM) trains you not only to be an expert in the Netherlands but in the whole world. To make sure you acquire as much international experience as possible, all classes are taught in English and you will be among students from all over the world. You will get the chance to use all studied theory in practice during in-class simulations or an internship abroad. We encourage you to do part of your studies abroad (at higher colleges in e.g. Germany, Spain or China). As soon as you enroll, you will have made yourself a true global citizen.
As an international marketeer you will create the best opportunities by developing marketing strategies and negotiations. You will find out where these best opportunities are, working around the legislative pitfalls and keeping in mind the financial aspects. After graduation your solid base of knowledge and skills enables you to start as an international marketeer, an export manager or a marketing consultant in a strategic position of an organization. You will also be an excellent conversational partner for other experts such as logistic managers, HRM consultants or the financial department. 95% of out students find a job within a month after graduation. Each student is assigned a study/career planning coach at the beginning of the International Marketing Management program who will help if possible in any future career doubts.
