International Business Management

Admission requirements:

Prerequisites include any of the following:

1. Dutch HAVO (higher general secondary education) or an international equivalent:
- Culture & Social Science
- Economics & Social Science
- Natural Science & Technology, completed by one modern foreign language or Economics 1
- Natural Science & Health, completed by one modern foreign language or Economics 1

2. Dutch VWO (pre-university education) or an international equivalent:
- Culture & Social Science
- Economics & Social Science
- Natural Science & Technology, completed by one modern foreign language or Economics 1
- Natural Science & Health, completed by one modern foreign language or Economics 1

3. Mbo (level 4) (intermediate vocational education) or an international equivalent

Application:

Every foreign student will need to apply via the website of 'Studielink'. Studielink is an on-line enrolment wizard that allows you to apply for enrolment or re-enrolment in a course at a government-funded institution of higher education.

In year 3 students can customize and add colour to their education by choosing a minor. The minors offered within this programme are Asian Trade, International Business Economics, International Business Communication, International Business Ventures and European Union Policies.

Students who want to specialise in the Asian market can choose the major Asian Business Studies. In this major Chinese language and culture lessons are mandatory. All projects are linked with Asian business and extra workshops and training are organised in addition to the regular classes.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree

On completion of the programme students will obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Moreover, they have great opportunities to continue with a Master programme at one of our partner institutes.

The tuition fee for EU and EEA students is approximately 1,600 Euros for two semesters.

The tuition fee for non-EU and non-EEA students is 7,500 Euros for two semesters.

Avans Scholarship Programme for Best Performing Non-EEA Students

Avans University of Applied Sciences offers a scholarship programme for the best performing non-EEA students. Scholarships are available each year to approximately 80 top-ranking, eligible students for all Avans programmes. In order to qualify for Avans Scholarship Programme students are required to have paid their tuition fee as well as having obtained 60 ECTS during the academic year. The scholarships are autiomatically awarded to the eligeble top ranking students at the end of each academic year, so there is no need to apply for the Avans Scholarship Programme. Students may recieve a maximum of two scholarships during their entire study programme and the amount is around 3,000 Euro per year.
