INSTED Biarritz - French

The school in Biarritz offers six levels from complete beginners to advanced levels (officially defined by the Council of Europe).

INSTED Biarritz offers three kinds of accomodation; with a host family, in a shared student apartment, or in your own apartment.

If you choose to stay with a host family you vill be provided with breakfast and dinner on weekdays and all meals on weekends, and you stay in an individual, comfortable bedroom. Generally, there are one or two students of different nationalities per family. Accommodation in a host family allows you to experience real French life in Biarritz which serves as a great complement to your studies.

To stay in a shared student apartment is an ideal compromise for those who do not wish to stay with a host family or find themselves alone in a residence-apartment. The accommodation is shared with a French person and possibly one other foreign student. With its amazing beaches and famous waves Biarritz was the birthplace of European surfing and has attracted surfers from all over the world. The town is located in the South-Western corner of France - just across the border from Spain and has fantastic surroundings. With Les Pyrenées on the one sida and the sandy beaches of the Atlantic ocean on the other Biarritz offers a wide range of acticities all year round. This unique seaside location influences the climate, creating mild and temperate weather all year round.

The town has a rich and varied selection of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. You may choose to spend your free time dining in one of the many brasseries, in a casual bistrot or in an upmarket restaurant with Guide Michelin stars, which all offer a variety of good local cuisine. A good way to start a night out in Biarritz is people-watching at Port des Pécheurs, with its sport fishers, restaurants, and fascinating crowds. Later you might end up at Le Caveau nightclub or try the hip Le Copa Cobana for Latin salsa along with every other kind of dance music.

INSTED's partner school is located close to Biarritz town center (20 mins by foot, 10 mins by bike) in a modern and spacious building. The school has 15 bright, air conditioned classrooms for groups of 2 to 12 participants. An internet and self study room is at the students disposal throughout class hours.

Course literature is not included in the fees but can be borrowed free of charge at the school.

The school also offers after-class cultural and leisure activities. The cost of the activities vary from 3 EUR to 22 EUR.

INSTED was established in Sweden in 1997 with the aim to provide high quality language courses at exclusive locations offering active and exciting leisure activities.

Beautiful Chamonix is the location where the first INSTED language school was opened in the winter of 1999. The combination of winter sports and language proved to be successful.
