Description of Dual Master's in Accounting and Control

Dual Master's in Accounting and Control

The dual programme is a new two-year English-medium master track. It comprises four days of work per week at the dual company and one day of study at The Hague University. Thanks to the experience gained with the existing Dual Master's in Accounting and Control full-time and MAAC part-time programmes, the new dual programme on offer is a fully developed master programme MAAC (Master's in Accounting and Control). The dual programme distinguishes itself from the part-time programme by the competences it encompasses, which are integrated in practice as well as in theory. The Dual MAAC will start in January 2009. Prior to this an internal selection procedure at The Hague University and an application procedure at the dual companies are to take place.

Description and information about accommodation The Hague

The Hague

Hague_University_of_Applied_Sciences_place

The Hague is a city of global stature, despite its relatively small size. As the home of the International Criminal Court, Peace Palace, War Crimes Tribunal and Europol, it’s rightly known as an International City of Peace, Justice and Security. It’s also the political capital of The Netherlands, and the home to our Royal family.

But it’s a city for day-to-day life, too, with the benefits of a big city – but a small town feel. You can wander the streets, soaking up all the wonderful historic architecture as you follow in the footsteps of Mondriaan and Vermeer. Or you can sit on the sandy beaches, soaking up the sun or gazing out over the water.

Hague University of Applied Sciences housing

The Hague University realises that it is difficult to arrange housing by yourself and has therefore developed procedures to arrange this for most of its international students.

Each year many international students come to The Hague looking for a place to stay. In order to accommodate those students for whom it is impossible to find a room before arrival, The Hague University has signed a contract with a housing agency specialised in letting houses to students: DUWO. Currrently The Hague University and DUWO supply more than 400 rooms to international students. There are four categories of students who are eligible for accommodation through The Hague University:
- Fulltime students of all English bachelorprogrammes who have applied for an entry-visa (MVV) and/or residence permit (VVR) through The Hague University;
- Students who have applied for a bachelorprogramme through a representative or agent of The Hague University;
- Students who have applied for a fulltime masterprogramme of The Hague University;
- Exchangestudents of The Hague University.
