A doctorate is an academic degree that indicates the highest level of academic achievement. One of the most common Doctorate titles is the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), which can be awarded for an array of academic fields within the Sciences and Humanities. The requirements for achieving a PhD or another Doctorate Degree is particular to each country but is generally highly related to research within a specific academic area.

The PhD has become a requirement for a career as a university professor or researcher in many fields. It is also considered a highly prestigious title outside the academic sphere, when pursuing a career in government departments or the private sector.
Types of Doctors Degrees
There are different types of Doctorate/PhD. Degrees:
