There are eight hostels on campus most of which are named after the illustrious sons and daughters of Assam.

All the Hostels are managed by the University under the Hostel Rules. Adequate care is taken to provide all necessary facilities to the boarders. Allotment of hostel places is made on merit basis.
There is a students’ Counseling cell for the benefit of the students both at the departmental and central levels. Students may approach the cells for counseling regarding academic, personal and career matters. There is also a Student Advisory Committee for the benefit of the students. The office of the Students' Counseling and Guidance Cell is located at the auditorium of
Dibrugarh University. Under the welfare scheme of the University there is a health centre providing health-care facilities to the students, employees, teachers and officers of the University. The University also provides 24 hour ambulance service for the students and employees of the University.
