Get Your Degree Through Distance Learning at the Cyprus Institute of Marketing Ltd

The global mission of the Cyprus Institute of Marketing Ltd (BVI) is to offer world-wide high quality education and training to mature in-career business people, by giving them a second chance in life to improve their skills and knowledge and thus enable them to advance higher up in the hierarchies of their corporations and life.

For a number of reasons many students are unable to attend regular classes. For all these people C.I.M. has since the 1980s been offering distance education or as it is widely known Distance Learning (DL). The European Union specifically makes mention to this form of study in the 1994 Maastricht Treaty, Article 126 which deals with education “to encourage the development of distance education”. CIM is part of a European – wide network of Institutions specializing in Distance Learning Education and is an active member of The European Distance Education Network (EDEN), the European Association for International Education (EAIE) and the International Society for Business Education (ISBE).

Students are welcome into all programs of study described in the prospectuses of CIM, at any time throughout the year. As long as students satisfy the entry requirements they will be admitted and offered a firm place. The student will be supplied with a set of lecture notes/books and assignments, and he/she will be required complete the assignments and exams. Additional work may be sent by the student’s tutor.

The student will be allocated a personal tutor who will monitor his/her studies. The student can contact his/her tutor at any time through telephone, fax or e-mail. Twice weekly contact between the student and tutor is encouraged, but is at the discretion of the student. In addition, students have access to tutors at the Institute’s overseas center in their home country (if applicable).

All courses at Cyprus Institute of Marketing Ltd are assessed by a close book written examination. Upon completion of his/her preparation the student can take his/her exams either in June or January each year. No student will be allowed to sit for exams in a period less than six months from the date of registration. Examination will be conducted locally at the country of residence of the student at one of the partner institutions, overseas centers or the local British Council.

Examinations:
Examinations are conducted twice a year, every January and June. Students MUST register for the examinations at least 2 months PRIOR to attempting their examinations.
Results are released in early September for the June examinations and in March for the January examinations.
