The University of East London (UEL) is a successful, modern university known to have very good teachers and researchers. The school is ranked as one of the ten most modern universities when it comes to research and the teachers of the school are deeply engaged in national and international work.

The University of East London Campus

The three different Learning Resource Centers (LRCs) are open all the time throughout the school year. Here you can find books, electronic information and computers with internet access.

The Campus area can offer a number of bars, restaurants and cafes. The University of East London also offers outdoor training facilities that can provide exercise opportunities equal to those of an indoor training facility.

London is one of the world's major cities and offers endless opportunities for students. The University of East London's two main halls and the campus are located in the east end of London, just 20-30 minutes from downtown London.

East London is becoming an important cultural center with the Shoreditch/Hoxton area as the main point. In 2012 Stratford will organize the Olympic Games. The Docklands and the Thames Gateway is among the fastest growing areas in Europe with much to see and do.

East London is also home to many sports clubs including West Ham United Football Club, Newham & Essex Beagle Athletics Club and the London Regatta Center. Near the university's Docklands Campus you will find Europe's largest exhibition center - Excel and London City Airport.



Student housing at the University of East London

The University of East London offers student housing located on the Docklands Campus by the historic Royal Albert Dock. Here you get a great view of the water, skyscrapers, London City Airport and the O2 arena.

All rooms have a bathroom with a door directly to the bedroom, telephone, internet and you can choose to share a room or live alone. The rooms also have a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, bookshelf and storage. Each apartment has a large kitchen area. Near your room you will also find a laundry room where you have the opportunity to wash clothes. If you are a student for the first time or if you move from another country, you will be given priority in the housing queue.
