The Bachelor of Psychology is an integrated full-time four-year program of
study which can also be studied on a part-time basis in no more than nine years. The course provides a thorough education in the scientific discipline
of psychology and introduces students to the applications of
psychology.
Psychology students gain educational breadth by studying other disciplines at least to the second year level. In the forth and final year, students study advanced theoretical subjects in core areas and applied topics in psychology together with advanced research training.
In the Bachelor of Psychology, you enrol in 2 majors, a minor and 4 student electives. The Psychology major is compulsory for all students, and you choose a second major, a minor, and student electives. In the fourth year you enrol in enrol in the additional advanced units.

The Bachelor of Psychology program seeks to provide academic preparation of students in the scientist/practitioner model and equip graduates with the knowledge and skills for roles as provisionally registered psychologists. It provides graduates with a rigorous grounding in scientific methodology, critical thought and scholarly discourse.
Students wishing to study the Bachelor of Psychology course must meet the following criteria:
Satisfactory achievement in TCE Science and/or Mathematics subjects is desirable, eg, Biology, Mathematics Methods or Mathematics Applied, Chemistry or Physical Sciences, and may be required for students wishing to take first year elective units in Science and Health Science.
There will be a limited quota of places for entry to the first year of the program and applications are ranked on the basis of academic merit, based on the ITI score. A further intake at second year is also based on academic merit. Progression from Year 1 to Year 2 depends on academic merit. The number of places in the program will be limited to a maximum of 30 at each year level.
