Always dreamt of a career in music? The Maastricht Academy of Music encourages its students to develop their musical talents and prepare intensively for a career in music. Do you have the right qualities and enough perseverance to succeed with us?

The admissions criteria for the Bachelor of Music course are strict. Prospective students must pass a thorough selection process to ensure their suitability. The school will assess not only your musical abilities, but also your theoretical knowledge and auditory skills. Only those who show true character and are genuinely ambitious in pursuing a career in music will succeed at the Academy.

During this four-year Bachelor of Music programme, you will be expected to work hard and demonstrate a high degree of independence. You will of course be assisted in this process: a team of highly qualified musicians and (guest) lecturers is on hand to help you prepare as thoroughly as possible for a career in music.

For those students who have the right mentality and the talent to continue their studies, the Maastricht Academy of Music also offers a Postgraduate Programme (see www.znhm.nl ).

Zuyd University is a university of applied sciences situated in the Dutch province of Limburg, the southernmost part of the Netherlands. This strategic location is at the heart of one of Europe's most important and prosperous regions, the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion. Brussels and Antwerp (Belgium) and the German Ruhr area are scarcely an hour's drive away, and cities such as Frankfurt and Paris just a few hours.

Zuyd University has a staff of more than 1,550 working at three different locations in the cities of Maastricht, Heerlen and Sittard-Geleen. Its student body numbers well over 13,200.

Zuyd University offers the widest range of programmes. With the exception of agricultural science, it practically offers every programme availabe in the Netherlands, plus a number of international study programmes. The approximately fifty programmes are divided into six different sectors:
