BI Norwegian School of Management

BI NorwayBI NorwegianlibraryThe BI Norwegian School of Management was originally founded in 1943 and is now the second largest academic Institutions in Norway, and one of the largest business schools in Europe.

The school provides internationally recognised business and management programmes to over 18,000 students, in six locations throughout Norway: Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Kristiansand, and Drammen. As well as having operations in China, Lithuania, Australia and exchange cooperations with over 140 universities worldwide.

The BI Norwegian School of Management has recently moved its teaching and research resources to a brand new purpose-built campus in Oslo. This stylish and functional campus building was designed by architect Nils Torpis to create a practical and pleasant working and study environment; with modern facilities and an 'open town' feel in the centre of Oslo's business district.

The schools mission is to create research-based, lifelong learning both nationally and internationally by working closely with students, industry and the public sector. Their approach is inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of management.

To encourage the ethos of research and to facilitate the success of its students, the BI Norwegian School of Management provides extensive library and IT services to its students. The library is located on the fifth floor and holds approximately 100,000 printed and 30,000 electronic books; as well as providing an oasis where students can read fiction, popular literature and a selection of national and international newspapers.

The BI Norwegian School of Management was EQUIS accredited in 1999 and is a member of  the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
