Description of BBA

BBA

BBA

The CEFAM program is composed of 6 to 7 different courses per semester. In keeping with the American university system, students must pass each course taken and are evaluated through continuous assessment. This organization permits both flexibility for students and a challenging academic atmosphere, as each required course and internship period must be passed with a minimum grade. Each element of the CEFAM program (courses, internships, workshops, etc.)is mandatory and must be satisfactorily completed in accordance with CEFAM’s graduation requirements and the transfer agreements with its American partner universities. The academic organization of the program, however, may be adapted, in certain cases and with prior approval by the administration, to meet individual student’s needs. All courses are taught in English.

Freshman, sophomore and Junior are in France. The CEFAM program offers two options to students for the completion of their final year and undergraduate degree:

1. Students may spend their final year and complete their undergraduate degree in one of CEFAM’s American partner universities. Possible areas of specialization include Marketing, Finance, International Business, Risk Management and Insurance, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources. The course program varies according to the selected university and major.

2. Students may choose to enter the CEFAM MBA/Master Program in International Management M1 year. See Graduate Program for details.

Description of CEFAM (French-American school of management)

Study at CEFAM (French-American school of management)

Established in 1986, CEFAM is an undergraduate Franco-American Business School working in partnership with certain American AACSB-accredited universities, including:

- Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts;
- Pace University, New York City;
- Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey;
- Siena College, Loudonville, New York;
- Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

By definition, the CEFAM Program is international, and open to students of all nationalities who wish to pursue their business studies from an international perspective. Located in Lyon, an important European crossroads, CEFAM has built its reputation on both the high academic standards it offers and expects of CEFAM students, and on the Euro-American framework within which such standards are attained.

The CEFAM Program follows the American Liberal Arts tradition in education, allowing CEFAM students to study business and non-business subjects. Credits earned at CEFAM are transferable to the partner American universities where CEFAM students complete their course work and obtain their Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA). Once CEFAM students obtain their BBA from the partner university, they simultaneously receive their CEFAM Degree, entitled International Manager, Responsible for Markets and Management, registered with the official French Governmental Index, RNCP (Repertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles).

Qualifying BBA graduates may then, of course, choose to continue their academic career and pursue an MBA or Master’s degree.

At CEFAM, all courses are taught in English by professors with advanced educational degrees and considerable experience in their particular professional area. CEFAM students benefit from a close-working environment and high professor-student contact level to ensure optimal conditions for a business education in an international setting.

In addition, the CEFAM program has incorporated 9 to 12 months of corporate experience into its curriculum. All students must complete two distinct internship periods, in France or internationally, during the first three years of the CEFAM program. This real-life exposure to companies and how they function is an indispensible element of our program.
