The influence that art has always had on fashion is today empowered by new technologies and new media that are more and more frequently inserted into works by contemporary artists. Fashion has earned itself an important place in art exhibitions, in the same way that art has increased its appeal as a source of inspiration for fashion designers. . The Fashion Curator is a new figure that has the task of studying the subject and content of a display, deciding on its staging and ultimately, its educational aspect, translating it into a language accessible by the public, its main user. We must not confuse fashion in this context with the field of clothing, the normal meaning for this word in everyday language. It is actually a far more complicated phenomenon, one not limited purely to garments, although they represent its origins and the source it has drawn on for its strong influence on society as a whole. It also relates to architecture, design, aesthetics and art in general. The summer Art and Fashion course aims to provide the basics for wider-reaching study and reflection, covered in full in the Art & Fashion Masters.
