ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Enschede

The Academy has an international exchange programme, and maintains contact with more than 45 European and non-European art schools. Did you know that Enschede is amongst the most popular student cities in the Netherlands? It is home to some 20,000 students, many of whom attend the University of Twente. Yet it is still easy to find a room here. In addition there is more than enough art and culture along with a wide variety of cafés, pop venues and entertainment places. You will soon discover the Rijksmuseum Twenthe with its regular exhibitions, and you can indulge yourself culturally in the renovated Roombeek district and the Muziekkwartier. ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Zwolle

The academy’s transparent, monumental building (which was once a hospital), the collaboration between the various disciplines and the Student Council’s activities ensure an attractive course culture. Close to the Academy is the beautiful and historic city centre of Zwolle with its canals, old churches, mansions, parks and impressive city gates. Zwolle’s squares are surrounded by terraces, cafés, bars and other leisure spots such as the Odeon theatre. What’s more, there is plenty of art to be seen at De Fundatie museum or the Stedelijk Museum Zwolle. You should also make a point of visiting the ZWART four-day summer festival, which is partly organised by ArtEZ. In addition, there are always plenty of rooms available.
