The 5-year Architecture Masters degree programme at The Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology
and Economics focuses on developing highly professional experts in
architectural engineering who are aware of the social and cultural
implications of their profession. The emphasis is on versatility and
students will gain fundamental knowledge and abilities in every
possible field of architecture, allowing them to work in a highly
competitive job market, and in any building- or design-related area of
consulting, construction, and management.
The Architecture course has been taught at BUTE for over 40 years. This experience has been incorporated into the relatively new english-taught programme, which is in full conformity with the 5-year program provided in Hungarian, which after two years practice and experience is accepted for access to EUR-ING title.
At the end of the third year of study students have the option of continuing with the MSc course and completing a further 2 years of study, or they can complete a BSc in just one year of additional study. Those who continue with the MSc programme can elect courses in three areas of specialisation:

An increasing number of international students study at The Budapest University of Technology and Economics and regular full time programs in English are offered in B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels
