London is the capital city of Great Britain and offers a vast range of entertainment and shopping, it is an international centre for film, nightlife, sport, theatre and so on. But most importantly, London is one of the most popular destinations in the world for international students, over 20% of London´s population are immigrants from outside the EU. Studying in London is a pure pleasure as the city holds many great libraries and museums available for you as a student.
London International College of Business and Technology is situated on the Uxbridge campus of Brunel University in West London. The campus is 1 hour by underground train (tube) from central London, using either the Piccadilly or the Metropolitan line. West London has a population of over 1.3 million people (Greater London has over 7 million) and is of great economic importance to the whole country. It is the home of Heathrow Airport as well as many media and corporate organisations.
Getting around London is easily done by public transport, you will arrive in the town centre within 45 minutes going by “the tube” from LIBT. The underground then takes you all over town fast and easy. Another option of public transport in the bus, the most known ones being the huge red double deckers, this trip will take a bit longer but be more of a pleasure for the eyes if you want to go sightseeing.
Students can choose on-campus or off-campus accommodation when they study at London International College of Business and Technology. Options include on-campus accommodation in Brunel University’s Halls of Residence, private flat share, Home stay and International Student House (ISH) in central London. Normally up to 90% of LIBT students stay in halls for their first year at LIBT @ Brunel

What’s more, Brunel’s halls of residences are on-campus, meaning you are never more than 10 minutes’ away from the teaching, social and sporting facilities.

All residences are well-equipped with self-catering facilities, but if you don’t wish to cook for yourself, you can find several places to eat around campus. The central catering facility is the More Foodhall, which serves British, Indian, Thai, Chinese and Italian dishes throughout the week, as well as vegetarian and kosher meals. You can also purchase a meal ticket, which will buy you a three-course meal for lunch or dinner, from Monday to Friday. In 2005//6, the annual cost was £555, which provides you with a daily meal ticket with a face value of £4.50. For those who prefer to cater for themselves, you will find two general stores on campus and several supermarkets just a short walk or bus-ride away.
Access to the University network (ResNet) is free, but you do need to provide your own computer equipment, including a network card and network cable. If you do not have a network card, you can purchase them from the Computer Centre for approximately £30. Access, subject to correct usage, is then available 24 hours a day.
All halls have access to coin-operated laundry facilities either within the halls building or located nearby.
